DMS North America with head offices, distribution and assembly operations in Oldcastle, Ontario; as well as Taunton, Massachusetts; Schaumburg, Illinois and Fountain Valley, California; have added DMS ASIA to our group of companies. DMS is a wholly owned North American supplier of standard and custom mold components and related accessories to the moldmaking, molding and diecasting industries. DMS has supplied these industries for over 50 years. In 2009 Dave Belleperche purchased the DMS North American operations with the intent to increase market share and begin reaching out to supply a growing global market. "We have been adding new products monthly since mid-2009 and now it's time to look at supplying these products outside of our current market territory." "I visited Hong Kong and the Chinaplast Show in Shanghai as well as various plastics related companies in Southern China last April and came to the conclusion that DMS should be offering our products and services to the Asian markets."
The new venture has opened offices in Hong Kong with initial warehouse distribution in Dongguan, Guangdong, PRC.

DMS now supplies a previously exclusive patented slide latch product which holds a slide in its outward position which is made of high strength steel alloy.
It is available in 3 sizes SLK 8HH (8 lbs) SLK 25HH(25 lbs) and SLK 50HH (50 lbs) and can be ganged for greater holding forces.
Each slide latch includes a holder, plunger, spring, latch, and socket head cap screws. It can also be used in stamping dies as a high reliability stock lifter or stock plunger. See attached for more info.

New range of mini tunnel gate inserts
Invisible gating of miniature parts
DMS introduces the smallest tunnel gate inserts ever to have been manufactured Developed and manufactured by i-mold GmbH & Co. KG, BrensbachlGermany, these tunnel gate inserts are used for the virtually invisible gating of miniature parts typically weighing between 0.1 and 5 g.
Such parts are required to an ever increasing extent, for example, in the automotive industry, in the electrotechnical
and electronics industries and in the medical devices industry. The various versions of these mini tunnel gate inserts are particularly suitable for multi-cavity molds. They afford the processor the advantages of side or bottom gating and of reducing the distances between the cavities. The result is a smaller, less costly mold that can then be mounted on a smaller machine with reduced hourly costs. Moreover, sprue waste is minimized through the extremely low channel volume. In cases where the mold has a very large number of cavities, a further reduction in sprue waste can be achieved in conjunction with a common hot runner with each hot runner nozzle feeding several tunnel gate inserts.
The new mini inserts are basically suitable for all thermoplastic polymers, even if filled, reinforced or flameproofed, and for all thermoplastic elastomers. Some of them are contourable and hence adaptable to specific mold technologies and configurations. Like the larger types, these mini inserts come in a choice of two hardness grades: U (40 HRC) and H (60 HRC); the SGC-XS and SGC-S inserts have a hardness grade of 54 HRC. The TGR6, TGR8 and TGS8 mini inserts are available optionally with a machining allowance of up to 0.6 mm (Version 51) or with a conical vestige (Version S2). view pdf
